When you finish writing a book, that’s no time to relax!

Last week, I was having a drink with a friend, celebrating the launch of Vengeance at the Vineyard, and he said, “You must be so relieved to have your third book out. Now you can just relax.”

He obviously forgot who he was talking to.

Yes, the third book in the series is out but the fun is just beginning! Now I get to talk about Vengeance at the Vineyard, answer questions about Vengeance at the Vineyard, and promote Vengeance at the Vineyard. I get to speak at book clubs, civic meetings, cocktail parties, and any other place where people want to know about the habits of Auctorem americanus, the American novelist.

And everywhere I go, readers ask the best questions! When someone asks me if Philip and Genevieve Warwick are inspired by Tom and me, my answer is always, “Absolutely.” Lord and Lady Crosswick are exactly us—minus the billion dollars and the title, of course. When someone asks, now that I have three books, do I ever get confused what characters are in which books and, since the books are in England and France, do I mix up who’s where? The answer is a resounding “YES!” I’m constantly referencing my notes and refreshing my memory about who did what to whom, when, why, and what the heck they were thinking.

If you didn’t snag a copy of the latest Lord and Lady Crosswick whodunit while it was discounted during pre-order, I hope you’ll grab a copy now that it’s officially launched and available in ebook, paperback, and hardcover. Cozy up with a glass of wine—or a cup of cocoa, if that’s more your style—and escape to Philip and Genevieve’s world of luxury, elegance, art, and . . . danger.

Meanwhile, I’ll be working on book four. 😉

Cheers and Santé,
