Holey moley, how did it get so late so fast? Who out there isn’t busy, busy, busy? Might I suggest adopting a Lord and Lady Crosswick tradition? Open something bubby, pour it into your favorite crystal flute (or chipped coffee cup) and take a moment to enjoy the beauty amid the chaos.
Speaking of bubbly, last night I had the painful, awful job of tasting Champagne, Prosecco, and Cava for a Battle of the Bubbles dinner we’re co-hosting next week to show how bubbles go with everything from nachos to chocolate soufflés. It was hard, but I forced myself. As Lily Bollinger, head of the Bollinger Champagne house from 1941-1971 said:
While we have our glasses in hand, let's raise them in a toast to Diana S., who will receive an e-book in January for her fabulous cover idea for Vengeance at the Vineyard:
Rows of grapevines in the foreground with a chateau on top of the hill. All of this in the 'faded background' with a 'small stream' of bright red blood oozing between the rows and the title artistically displayed across the middle.
I absolutely loved all your inventive visions for Lord and Lady Crosswick’s next adventure, but the day the last newsletter went out was the same day my book designer came back with a cover that was so perfect I had to go with it:
What do you think?
Cheers and Santé,
